Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026
This notice explains which personal data are processed when you visit the Trullo Galileo website, for what purposes, and what rights you have. It is provided under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Data controller
The data controller is Mario Cosimo Angelini, Via Galileo Galilei 28, 70011 Alberobello (BA), Italy. For any matter concerning personal data you can write to trullogalileo@gmail.com.
What data we process
The site has no contact forms and no online booking system, so it does not collect identifying data directly. As with any website, the hosting provider records connection data for technical and security purposes: IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, browser type. If you write to us on WhatsApp, by email or by phone, we process the data you choose to share in that message.
Why we process them, and on what basis
Connection data serve to run and protect the site, on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a secure service (Art. 6.1.f GDPR). The messages you send us serve to reply and, should you decide to book, to handle your request: the legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual and contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
Cookies and browser storage
The site uses no profiling cookies and no analytics or advertising tools: there is no Google Analytics, no pixel, no third-party tracker. Typefaces are served from our own domain, so displaying them involves no connection to external servers.
The map
The Surroundings section holds no interactive map, only a plain image of the area hosted on our own domain, derived from the free maps of OpenStreetMap. Looking at it involves no connection to any external service. Tapping it opens Google Maps for directions: that is your choice, and from that moment Google's own privacy notice applies.
Who receives the data
Data are neither sold nor traded. They may be processed on our behalf, and only within the service provided, by the company hosting the site and by the mail and messaging services we use to reply to you. No one else receives data from the site.
How long we keep them
Connection data are kept by the hosting provider for the technical time needed to keep the service secure. Messages you send us remain in our inboxes for as long as needed to reply and to manage any stay, and are deleted once no longer necessary.
If you stay with us
Guests staying at the property must be registered with the Alloggiati Web portal of the Italian State Police: this is why we ask for an identity document for each guest. It is a legal obligation (Art. 109 TULPS) and the legal basis is compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c GDPR). Document data are transmitted only to the public security authority and kept for the period required by law.
Your rights
You may at any time request access to your data, their rectification or erasure, restriction of or objection to processing, and data portability, by writing to trullogalileo@gmail.com. If you believe the processing infringes the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
Updates
This notice may be updated if the services used by the site change. The date at the top indicates the latest revision.
