Discover the trullo
An ancient home, kept through time
In the heart of Alberobello's historic centre, among the white stone lanes of the evocative Aia Piccola district, stands Trullo Galileo: an authentic trulli home that has belonged to the same family for over two centuries. Passed down with love from generation to generation, this ancient home tells a story of affection, tradition and memory, preserving intact the charm of a place unique in the world, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Restored with the utmost care and in full respect of its original architecture, Trullo Galileo retains its characteristic dry-stone walls, traditional chiancarelle cones and essential, unadorned spaces that express the authenticity of local culture. Every step of the restoration was carried out to combine the charm of tradition with contemporary comfort, offering an exclusive stay immersed in the quiet of Alberobello's oldest, most authentic lanes.
The home has two elegant bedrooms, Giove and Venere, a welcoming kitchen corner and a bathroom, offering an intimate, refined space in which to experience Alberobello slowly and authentically, with the privilege of feeling part of its story.

What guests ask us before they travel
The questions we get most often on WhatsApp, with our answers. If yours isn't here, just write to us.
01Where do I park? Is the restricted traffic zone a problem?
The trullo is in the old town, where cars cannot go, but parking is not a problem. There are three free car parks a short walk away, open at any hour. Before you arrive we send you a route that avoids the restricted zone and reaches ten metres from the door, so you can unload your luggage calmly.
02What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is flexible and we arrange it together around your arrival, evenings included. Check-out is by 11am. If you arrive before the agreed time or leave later, we look after your luggage with no trouble at all.
03How do I get to Alberobello?
From Bari airport it is about 55 minutes by car. By bus you come in on the Ferrovie del Sud Est line to Alberobello station, a few minutes' walk from the old town. Once here a car is barely needed, since the town is walked on foot and nearby towns are reached by train, taxi or electric bike.
04What should I pack?
It depends on the season. In spring and autumn bring a light jumper, since the days are mild but the evenings cool down. In summer a hat and sun cream, because the old town is built of pale stone that reflects a great deal of sun in the middle of the day. In winter a warm coat, as the trullo stays cosy inside but it can get cold outdoors, especially at night. The rest is on us, from the linen to the courtesy sets.
05How many people does the trullo sleep?
The trullo sleeps up to four in two separate double bedrooms, Giove and Venere, and with the cot added it becomes five. The house is for your exclusive use, so for the whole of your stay the space is yours alone.
06What will I find in the house?
There are two double bedrooms, a private bathroom with shower and a kitchen corner with hob, oven, fridge, coffee machine and crockery. Wi-Fi, air conditioning, heating, a Smart TV in both bedrooms, bed and bath linen and courtesy sets are all included.
07Do you have a cot and an iron?
Yes, we have both and we set them up on request. Let us know when you book and you will find them ready in the house when you arrive.
08Is it suitable for children?
Yes. The old town is walked entirely on foot and children tend to find the cone-roofed houses a discovery. The trullo has snug, easy rooms, and a few minutes' walk away there are several playgrounds with shaded benches for the parents.
09Who are you?
We are a family from Alberobello. The trullo dates back to the 18th century and belongs to grandmother Ninetta, who was born here in 1954 and still owns it today. The one who welcomes you is Mario, Ninetta's grandson, reachable on WhatsApp for the whole of your stay. Almost all the furnishings you see were already in the house, from the sewing machine used as a side table to the demijohns once filled with wine, down to the headboard cut from a single slice of olive wood.
When you book you receive our guest guide, with the full story of the trullo as Ninetta tells it, the addresses where we eat ourselves and everything you need day by day.
